On 20-21 December 2023, CIQ held the 2024 Medical Device Industry Standard Establishment Workshop and Budget Validation Meeting. Zhang Hui, Vice President of CIRC (Deputy Director of Device Standard Management Centre), attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The person in charge of Device Standard Institute presided over the meeting.
Experts at the meeting listened to the reports of 177 application projects from various units, fully demonstrated the necessity and feasibility of the projects and reached a consensus, and determined the recommendations for the establishment of medical device industry standard projects and project funding recommendations in 2024. The meeting requested to promote the standardisation work with the vision of development, to respond to new challenges with positive actions, to seize the development opportunities to regulate the standard management, to guard the people’s safety of medical devices as the responsibility, and to promote the high-quality development of medical device standardisation work.
Medical device standardisation experts, medical device standardisation (sub)technical committees, working groups, reporting units of nearly 100 people attended the meeting.
